India enter the T20I gold-medal match in dominant form, boasting an unbeaten run and recent comprehensive victories over Pakistan. Ishan Kishan and Jasprit Bumrah are in stellar form for India, while Pakistan's hopes rest on the performances of Sahibzada Farhan and Abrar Ahmed. The match venue tends to favour teams batting first. Despite Pakistan’s dangerous individual performers, India remain clear favourites, with predictions leaning towards crucial roles for Kishan and Bumrah in securing victory for the team.

India enter the gold-medal match in outstanding form and have dominated Pakistan in recent meetings, but Pakistan possess several dangerous individual performers capable of making the final competitive.

Key Stats - Kishan Superb this Year

  • Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan has scored 449 runs in 12 T20Is in 2026.
  • Pakistan’s Saim Ayub has scored 240 runs in 2026.
  • Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed has claimed 15 wickets in his last 10 T20Is.
  • India’s Ishan Kishan has scored 985 runs in 28 T20Is in 2026.
  • India’s Abhishek Sharma has scored 750 runs in 28 T20Is this year.
  • India’s Jasprit Bumrah has taken 24 wickets in his last 16 matches.
  • India’s Ishan Kishan hit 5 sixes in his 46-ball 80* against Sri Lanka.
  • India have won their last 5 T20Is against Pakistan.

India Dominant in this Fixture

India have won all five of their last five matches against Pakistan. The most recent meeting came at the T20 World Cup in February when India scored 175/7 before dismissing Pakistan for 114 to record a 61-run victory.

Pakistan Cruised to Final

Pakistan booked their place in the final with a six-wicket victory over Bangladesh in a rain-shortened semi-final. Sufyan Moqim took 3/26 and Arafat Minhas claimed 2/23 before Abdul Samad and Hasan Nawaz shared an unbeaten 59-run stand for the fifth wicket.

Sahibzada Farhan remains Pakistan’s major batting threat after racking up 449 runs in 12 T20Is this year, while Saim Ayub offers value with both bat and ball. World No. 1-ranked T20I bowler Abrar Ahmed leads the attack after snatching 15 wickets in his last 10 internationals.

India Unbeaten

India are unbeaten in their last eight T20Is and stormed into the final with a 124-run victory over Sri Lanka. Ishan Kishan struck an unbeaten 80 from 46 balls before India’s bowlers produced a dominant display to dismiss Sri Lanka for only 45.

India possess exceptional batting depth with Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Kishan and Shreyas Iyer all enjoying productive form with the bat. Jasprit Bumrah remains the key bowling threat after taking 24 wickets across his last 16 matches.

Team News & Predicted Lineups

Korogi Sports Park has favoured teams batting first, with 12 of the 20 matches at the venue being won by sides defending a total. The average first-innings score on the pitch is around 142.

Pakistan (possible XI): Sahibzada Farhan (c), Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, Maaz Sadaqat, Hasan Nawaz, Abdul Samad, Arafat Minhas, Ahmed Daniyal, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Abrar Ahmed, Sufyan Moqim.

India (possible XI): Shreyas Iyer (c), Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Tilak Varma, Axar Patel, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravi Bishnoi.

Verdict

India are huge favourites to take the win. Ishan Kishan and Jasprit Bumrah are their key dangermen and I’m backing them to play key roles in India’s win.

Sahibzada Farhan and Abrar Ahmed are backed to perform for Pakistan. There is a huge payout for most match sixes for Ishan Kishan, so I’m throwing my hat in the six-ring.
