G2 kicked off the tournament with a close 1-2 loss against Astralis, to which they added a close 2-1 victory against BIG. Across the two games, G2 Esports have shown some good things, especially NertZ, who is the team’s highest rated player at 1.23 performance average.

9z Team dominated their first game of the tournament when they crushed 5star eSports 2-0. However, they were far less successful in their second match of the event against MIBR, who defeated 9z 2-0 on Wednesday.
9z delivered a shockingly bad performance, struggling to keep up on Mirage (6-13) and Nuke (7-13), with all players but dgt posting a sub-0.86 rating. This one bad game, however, should not be indicative of 9z’s strength.
On the other hand, 9z are now on a run of five losses and just one win, which is not optimal, even though most of those defeats came against strong teams such as MOUZ and Team Vitality.
