Gen.G have managed to pick themselves up after a rocky start to the split and now appears to be in great shape. Even though they lost an important match against T1 last week, Gen.G haven’t been playing poorly, as it was a very competitive loss.
Prior to that defeat, they’ve been rolling over their opponents and have looked progressively more like themselves or Gen.G from the first split of the season.
At this point, there is a massive gap between the Big Three – T1, Gen.G, and Hanwha Life Esports – and the rest. So, unless something changes, Gen.G will, alongside T1 and HLE, be one of the main title contenders.
This is further confirmed by Gen.G’s recent victory against KT Rolster, which started with a near perfect maps from the defending champions. The second could’ve ended in KT’s favour, but Gen.G managed to fight their way back into it.
