They kicked off the stage with three straight losses against Evil Geniuses, Leviatan, and MIBR, before winning their first match of Stage 2 on Saturday, when ENVY defeated FURIA 2-1.
ENVY won the match with 15-17 on Haven, 13-9 on Sunset, and 13-6 on Ascent. But while they were the better team on the day, beating FURIA in the state they’re currently in is hardly inspiring.
ENVY have struggled in Group Alpha, and seeing them look toothless against the likes of Evil Geniuses, MIBR, and Leviatan inspires little confidence that ENVY can challenge NRG.
