In the opening week, G2 Esports lost against 100 Thieves in a closely fought 1-2 series, and have since accumulated three wins, beating Cloud9 (2-0), KRU Esports (2-0), and Sentinels (2-1).
The clash against Sentinels, at the end of last week, was relatively close, ending with 11-13 on Breeze, 13-10 on Lotus, and 13-8 on Split. The other two wins, however, were very one-sided, with G2 picking up two Breeze maps, one Lotus, and one Sunset.
Breeze and Lotus seem to be two of G2’s favourite maps, which will play a factor on Friday, since LOUD like to play the same two maps. The only issue is that LOUD are not nearly as efficient on them.

LOUD Are Struggling
LOUD haven’t had the most promising run through the first three weeks of VCT Americas Stage 2. While they’ve managed a 2-1 record, LOUD barely made it past KRU (2-1) in the first week, got crushed by Sentinels (0-2) in the second, and needed a reverse-sweep to defeat Cloud9 last Friday.
Seeing LOUD struggle against Cloud9 and KRU does not inspire much confidence, as even though LOUD managed to take down two of Group Omega’s weakest teams, they haven’t shown enough to deserve praise.
Their iffy performances against lower-tier teams also suggest that LOUD are simply not well-equipped to deal with a stronger team such as G2 Esports.
