Kicking off on Friday, July 24, LEC 2026 Summer marks the third and decisive split of the competitive year. It serves as the final showdown where Europe's elite will clash for regional supremacy and spots at the upcoming LoL World Championship.
For the summer split, all ten franchised teams will return to the Rift, some of whom with a changed roster, having made adjustments during the offseason in a bid to contest the top spots.
However, even with the roster changes happening over the last month, the usual suspects have found themselves sitting atop the power rankings.
Heavyweights like G2 Esports, Karmine Corp, and Movistar KOI enter the final split of the season as the teams to watch, mainly G2 Esports, who are billed as firm favourites to make a run for the trophy and complete the 2026 trifecta, winning all three LEC splits.

LEC 2026 Summer playoffs are double-elimination, with all games played as best-of-five (BO5), including the grand finals.
As it has become a custom, both the regular season and the playoffs will have a Fearless Draft rule in place.

G2 Esports are historically the most successful LEC team, and this season hasn’t been any different.
They have already won the first two splits of the year, and left a relatively positive mark in the Mid-Season Invitational. Admittedly, G2’s performance at the Esports World Cup was underwhelming, but it’s up for debate how much weight that holds.
For the summer split, G2 will field a slightly different roster, with ex-player Luka “Perkz” Perković taking over as the new head coach. This change was made purely to help G2 Esports find a new ceiling, although it could work both ways.
Even though there are questions about Perkz as a head coach, G2 still field the most stacked roster in the league, which alone makes them serious title contenders.
Karmine Corp are next in line, having had a solid season this year. They placed second in the spring split and recently made the finals of the Esports World Cup. The quality here is undeniable, but there is an ongoing question of whether KC will ever manage to overcome G2, who have become Karmine Corp’s kryptonite.
Movistar KOI are arguably the only other team with a realistic chance to derail G2 Esports. They have done it before, and even in spring, KOI have shown good things. However, with Movistar KOI, you never know which version of KOI you’re going to get.
As a team with a very high ceiling and low floor, Movistar KOI are easily the most unpredictable and volatile teams in the LEC, making them a threat to anyone, but also a squad who can easily turn into a pumpkin.
Besides G2 Esports, Karmine Corp, and Movistar KOI, all other seven teams are given a sub-10% implied probability of making a run for the trophy, creating a very top-heavy scenario, where the final race for the throne should not feature much diversity.
