In the upcoming LCK 2026 clash on May 20, T1 faces off against an improving Kiwoom DRX squad. T1's recent 8-2 run, including a victory over Gen.G, cements their status as favorites, especially as they continue to strengthen their mid-late game strategy. Kiwoom DRX display promise with better early game performance, but they still struggle in the late game against top-tier teams. Prediction: T1 is likely to win convincingly. Live streams are available via LCK channels and major bookmakers.

T1 vs Kiwoom DRX Betting Predictions

Kiwoom DRX will chase a huge victory on Wednesday, May 20, when they clash with the in-form T1 in the eighth week of League of Legends Champions Korea 2026 Rounds 1-2. It will mark their first clash since the third week of the split.
Kiwoom DRX lost the last outing against T1, and they are expected to lose again. That is not necessarily because KRX have been playing poorly, since they have been improving, but mainly because T1 seem to have found their stride in the second half of the spring split.

Having now won eight out of the last 10 games played, which includes a 2-1 victory against Gen.G last week, T1 have re-emerged as LCK’s top dogs, who have yet to show any signs of struggle against weaker opponents. And that is unlikely to change on Wednesday.

  • T1 are 8-2 from the last 10 games
  • Kiwoom DRX are improving, but are not among elite teams
  • T1 can aim for a clean sweep

T1 Are In Hot Form

T1 are in excellent shape, having won eight of the last nine games played. That notably includes a 2-1 victory against their arch rivals, Gen.G. on Saturday, which was a very good indication that T1 “are back.”

After a rocky start to the split, showing cracks in the mid-late game, T1 sort of found their footing and solidified their status as one of  LCK’s “Big Three”.

Their early game has improved, but more importantly, T1’s mid-late game decision-making is now much better than it was, and their ability to close games. While T1 are far from perfect and have yet to reach 100%, things are looking up, and they are on the right path.

T1 Squad & Team News

T1 have not announced any roster changes.

  • Choi "Doran" Hyeon-jun – top lane
  • Mun "Oner" Hyeon-jun – jungle
  • Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok – mid lane
  • Kim "Peyz" Su-hwan – ADC
  • Ryu "Keria" Min-seok – support

Kiwoom DRX Are Showing Signs of Life

The two glow-up stories collide in this surprisingly intriguing match.

Kiwoom DRX have been steadily improving of late. While they are 2-4 from their last six, the losses came against Hanwha Life Esports, KT Rolster, and Gen.G. That’s a very demanding schedule, seeing how KRX had to face three of the current top-five teams in the league.

Outside of the clashes with LCK’s top dogs, Kiwoom DRX have beaten Nongshim RedForce and HAJIN BRION, and they even took a map off Hanwha Life Esports and Gen.G.

The main thing to note about KRX is that their early-game has improved significantly, allowing them to stay in games even against stronger teams. However, they still lack mid-late game, which will be a problem against T1.

Kiwoom DRX Squad & Team News

No roster changes for Kiwoom DRX.

  • Lee "Rich" Jae-won – top lane
  • Kim "Willer" Jeong-hyeon – jungle
  • Son "ucal" Woo-hyeon – mid lane
  • Trần "LazyFeel" Bảo Minh – ADC
  • Mun "Andil" Gwan-bin – support

Verdict

Kiwoom DRX are playing much better than early in the season, largely thanks to their stronger early game. However, they’re still far from breaking into the top. So while KRX can be trusted to deal with mid-low table teams, expecting them to derail squads like T1 is still too optimistic.

T1 have been finding their stride of late and are nearing. They still have some things to iron out, but given their past showings, it is hard to imagine them struggling against the likes of Kiwoom DRX.
