Team Spirit vs MOUZ Betting Predictions

Team Spirit and MOUZ will face off on Saturday, October 10, in the ESL Pro League Season 24 semifinals, as the two Counter-Strike 2 juggernauts battle for a spot in the grand final.

Team Spirit had a rough run through the group stage, failing to show anything memorable, and barely making it through to the next stage. However, after a rough showing in the Swiss Stage, Spirit woke up and demolished Team Falcons in the quarterfinals, proving they still have it.

MOUZ have been in excellent shape this entire event, but they are known to stumble in playoffs, as they have several times in the last few months. This alone makes it fair to question MOUZ and their chances of beating Spirit on Saturday.

  • Team Spirit are the world’s no.1 team
  • MOUZ are known for slipping in playoffs
  • Team Spirit are up in head-to-head

Team Spirit are Up in Head-to-Head

Team Spirit and MOUZ have met six times this year, and all but two games ended in Spirit’s favour.

Team Spirit are Ramping Up

Team Spirit have looked terrible in the Swiss Stage. Despite entering the tournament as one of the main title favourites, Spirit barely qualified for the playoffs, ending the group stage with a 2-3 record, which includes defeats against MOUZ and 1w Team and wins against ShindeN, PARIVISION, and M80.

After such a display, Spirit entered the playoffs with a massive question mark above their heads. However, even so, they stepped up when it mattered the most and handled the reigning Major champions, Team Falcons, with 13-8 on Mirage and 13-10 on Anubis.

Spirit looked much more like themselves on Friday, and if they can keep their wheels spinning, a deep tournament run shouldn't escape them.

MOUZ With More to Prove

MOUZ enter the ESL Pro League S24 semifinals with a realistic chance to make a run for the trophy. They’ve been relatively successful lately, though slightly inconsistent.

MOUZ won BLAST Bounty Summer in August and placed second in BLAST Open Fall in September. But they’ve also exited the Esports World Cup in fifth-eighth and StarLadder StarSeries Fall in fifth-sixth.

MOUZ’s recent showings have been inconsistent, but they’ve been playing well at ESL Pro League. They topped the Swiss Stage with wins against M80, FURIA, and Team Spirit. To that, they added a 2-0 sweep of FURIA, with 13-11 on Nuke and 13-6 on Inferno.

MOUZ seem to be in a fine spot form-wise, but they’ve historically struggled against elite teams in the playoffs.

Verdict

MOUZ are 4-0 this tournament, which includes a 2-0 sweep of Team Spirit in the Swiss Stage. However, while Spirit haven’t looked even remotely good during the group stage, they have woken up for the playoffs and demolished Team Falcons.

Spirit are the current no.1 CS2 team in the world, and for a very good reason. They’ve been dominating the scene for months, and a slightly underwhelming run in the Swiss Stage does not affect their status as the world’s best team.
