OFI Struggled in Pre-Season
OFI Crete didn’t play a serious role in the Super League 1 last season, finishing 7th after failing to qualify for the Championship bracket.
They did however cause multiple upsets and won the Greek Cup after defeating PAOK 3-2 in extra-time in the grand finals. Aaron Leya Iseka scored the winning goal in the 105th minute.
Christos Kontis’ side played just three friendly matches in the pre-season and lost all of them, 4-0 against Go Ahead Eagles, 3-2 to NAC Breda and most recently Willem II 2-1.
