The Global Ones started the new campaign with wins against Al Fateh 3-0, Al Diriyah 4-1 and Al Riyadh 4-0. Nassr’s top scorer Joao Felix scored four goals in those victories.

Ange Postecoglou’s side continued their winning streak with a 3-2 comeback victory at Al Ettifaq. Nassr trailed 2-0 at half time before Sadio Mane and Al Amri scored in the final 20 minutes. 

Al Taawon Winless in the 2026/27 Saudi Pro League


Al Taawon’s long-term Saudi Pro League form is poor following a six-match winless run and three defeats.

The Wolves ended last season with a 2-0 away loss at Al Hazem. Their inconsistent form continued into the new campaign after a 0-0 draw with Al Khaleej and a 3-2 defeat to Al Kholood. 

Zarko Lazetic’s side dropped to 12th in the table after a 0-0 home draw against Al Fayha. Taawon had 26 shots, 2.52 XG and couldn’t score.

Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to start after being substituted early during the Al Ettifaq win. Ange Postecoglou addressed the attacker’s withdrawal post-match and said: 

"I'm here to help the team with what I see, and everyone knows that Ronaldo hasn't played in a long time. He performed exceptionally well in the first half, and we opted for a different approach."
