Braga vs Famalicao Betting Tips & Live Stream - New Managers Meet in the League Cup
Braga take on Famalicao in Liga Portugal on 9 October 2026, with both teams recently appointing new managers. The main tip is both teams to score, supported by Braga's record of BTTS in 10 of their last 11 meetings with Famalicao and Famalicao's recent big win. Given the uncertainty around both sides' form and recent managerial changes, a draw is also considered a value play. Backing Braga outright is not advised due to their inconsistent performances and Famalicao's boost in confidence.

Braga and Famalicao find themselves in similar positions after sacking their managers in recent weeks. I don’t think there will be much in this one and wouldn’t be surprised to see the tie go all the way.
Key Stats
- Braga have lost 4 of their last 5 matches.
- Braga have seen BTTS in 10 their last 11 matches against Famalicao.

HTH
Braga have a 20-14 advantage against Famalicao alongside 13 draws.
Carvalho Takes over in Braga
Braga lost their opening three matches in October which ended with a 2-1 home defeat to Gil Vicente. Carlos Vicens was sacked and replaced by Franclim Carvalho.
Carvalho’s first game in charge came in the Conference League, a 2-0 win against Gent. He largely played the same formation as Vicens with few noticeable differences.
The Warriors are coming off an unlucky 1-0 defeat at Nacional. Braga ended with 71% possession and 1.67-0.48 xG, Jovan Milosevic taking five shots.
Carvalhal Exits Famalicao
Famalicao failed to win in their opening six matches, their first win coming in Madeira where Sorriso and Georgios Koutsias scored two goals in a 4-0 victory at Nacional.
It was not a sign of things to come, Carlos Carvalhal’s side thrashed 4-1 at home by Alverca. A 1-0 loss at third division club Paredes was the final straw, Carvalhal sacked with Ricardo Silva taking over on a caretaker basis.
Silva guided Fama to a thumping 4-0 win at Rio Ave on Sunday. Óscar Aranda came off the bench to score two late goals and make a case to be a starter.

Verdict
I am not willing to back Braga just yet especially with Famalicao coming off a big win in Vila do Conde. I think BTTS is a better option here with a draw the value play.
