Burnley is currently struggling in the Premier League, sitting at 19th place and having not won a match in their last 11 attempts. Manchester United, on the other hand, come into this match in better form, standing 6th in the league. Historically, United has dominated this matchup, holding a 68-45 record over Burnley. Interim boss Darren Fletcher looks to secure his first win, especially given United's unbeaten streak in 12 of their last 14 matches. Predicted lineups suggest key returns for Man United, including Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes.

H2H - Man United Dominate

Man United have a 68-45 advantage against Burnley, alongside 25 draws.

Burnley Struggling in the EPL

Burnley are second from bottom in the Premier League and six points from safety. The Clarets are winless in 11 consecutive matches, losing nine.

Scott Parker’s team lost seven matches in a row, including four home defeats. They ended that streak with consecutive draws with Bournemouth 1-1 and Everton 0-0 before a 3-1 home loss against Newcastle.

The Lancashire outfit lost 2-0 at Brighton on Saturday. Burnley struggled with just 0.3 XG and conceded either side of half time.

Man United Rarely Lose

Ruben Amorim departed as Man United boss on Monday and was replaced by interim manager Darren Fletcher, who features in the next Man United betting odds contenders.

United are in hard-to-beat form and unbeaten in 12 of their last 14 games, winning six. The Red Devils are on a three-match unbeaten run, which started with a 1-0 win over Newcastle and a 1-1 draw against Wolves.

A second consecutive 1-1 draw followed at Leeds. United had 1.59-0.9 XG and Matheus Cunha equalised after Leeds’ second half opener.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Burnley (4-3-3): Martin Dubravka; Kyle Walker, Hjalmar Ekdal, Maxime Esteve, Lucas Pires; Lesley Ugochukwu, Florentino, Josh Laurent; Marcus Edwards, Armando Broja, Bruun Larsen

Defender Axel Tuanzebe, midfielder Hannibal Mejbri and striker Lyle Foster are on AFCON duty. Midfielder Josh Cullen, attackers Zian Flemming and Zeki Amdouni and defenders Connor Roberts, Joe Worrall and Jordan Beyer are injured.

Defender Maxime Esteve is expected to return from a recent knock. Scott Parker said, “Hopefully, he'll be fit for Wednesday."

Man United (4-2-3-1): Senne Lammens; Diogo Dalot, Ayden Heaven, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw; Casemiro, Manuel Ugarte; Patrick Dorgu, Joshua Zirkzee, Matheus Cunha; Benjamin Sesko

Forward duo Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo and defender Noussair Mazraoui are on
international duty. Midfielder Kobbie Mainoo and defensive pair Harry Maguire and Matthijs de Ligt are unlikely to feature due to injury.

Midfield duo Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes could return to the squad against Burnley. Before his departure, Ruben Amorim was confident of the pair’s return and said, “I expect to have some minutes for Bruno and Mason Mount, maybe, so we will see. They are players who are ready to help us.”

Verdict

Burnley have struggled all season in the Premier League and Man United will want to keep chasing the European places. United can beat the out-of-form Clarets at Turf Moor.
