H2H - Plenty of Recent Goals

Everton have a 65-52 advantage against Wolves, alongside 29 draws.

Everton Leaky at Home

Everton have struggled at the Hill Dickinson Stadium recently after three defeats in four. The Toffees have conceded nine and scored six during this period.

David Moyes’ side were on a three-match winless run after losses to Chelsea 2-0 and Arsenal 1-0 and a 0-0 draw at Burnley. The Merseysiders ended that streak with a 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest.

The Toffees couldn’t build momentum and lost 4-2 at home against Brentford. Everton allowed 2.65 XG, faced seven shots on target and Beto and Thierno Barry scored second-half consolations.

Wolves Improving

Rob Edwards’ Wolves are 12 points from safety at the bottom of the Premier League table.

The Old Gold lost 12 games in a row from October to late December and conceded 29 goals. They ended that losing streak with a 1-1 draw at Man United.

Wolves sealed their first league win of the season on Saturday following a 3-0 home win over West Ham. Jhon Arias, Hwang Hee-Chan and Matheus Mane scored in the first half and Wolves had 1.87 XG.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Everton (4-2-3-1): Jordan Pickford; Jake O'Brien, James Tarkowski, Michael Keane, Vitaly Mykolenko; Timothy Iroegbunam, James Garner; Tyler Dibling, Merlin Rohl, Jack Grealish; Thierno Barry

Forward Iliman Ndiaye and midfielder Idrissa Gueye are on AFCON duty.

Defenders Jarrad Branthwaite and Seamus Coleman are injured. Midfield pair Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Carlos Alcaraz are also sidelined with injuries.

Wolves (3-5-2): Jose Sa; Yerson Mosquera, Matt Doherty, Ladislav Krejci; Jackson Tchatchoua, Jhon Arias, Andre, Matheus Mane, Hugo Bueno; Tolu Arokodare, Jorgen Strand Larsen

Centre-back Emmanuel Agbadou is on international duty and unavailable.

Midfielders Marshall Munetsi and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and attacker Leon Chiwome are injured. Defender Toti and Rodrigo Gomes are also set to miss out through injury.

Hee-Chan Hwang and Joao Gomes are injury doubts following injuries against West Ham. On Hwang’s injury, Rob Edwards said, “Channy was feeling his calf at half time. He wanted to keep going - then he just felt it tighten up a little bit - so fingers crossed. Obviously, we've only got a few days now. So we'll see.”

Verdict

Everton have had some big home defeats recently and Wolves are scoring goals on the road. A high-scorer on Merseyside is likely in this Premier League clash.
