Manchester City are in strong form at home and are well-placed to secure another win against a struggling Crystal Palace side. Both teams have shown an ability to find the net, suggesting a high-scoring match is on the cards. The recommended bets are Man City to win with over 2.5 goals, both teams to score, and over 3.5 total goals. The key conclusion is to expect a goal-filled victory for Manchester City, with additional value in both sides getting amongst the goals.

H2H - Goals Standout

Man City have a 40-18 advantage against Crystal Palace, alongside 17 draws.

Man City Hanging on in the EPL Title Race

Man City trail Premier League leaders Arsenal by five points. Pep Guardiola’s side can close the gap to two points if they beat Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

The Citizens are in excellent late-season form and have won seven of their last eight games in all competitions. City have scored 20 goals during that period.

The Manchester outfit were on a three-match winning run in the Premier League before a 3-3 draw at Everton. City had over 1.53 XG in those four fixtures.

Guardiola's team bounced back from the Everton draw with a commanding 3-0 home win against Brentford. The Citizens had 2.98 XG and Jeremy Doku, Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush scored in the second half.

Crystal Palace Leaky on the Road

Crystal Palace are 14th in the Premier League and have secured their top-flight safety for next season. The Eagles have struggled for league form recently and are winless in four consecutive matches.

Oliver Glasner’s team lost back-to-back away games at Liverpool 3-1 and Bournemouth during their winless streak. Palace faced 25 total shots across those two matches.

The Londoner's Premier League downturn continued with a 2-2 home draw against Everton on Sunday. Palace trailed twice and goals from Ismaila Sarr and Jean-Philippe Mateta helped to avoid defeat.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Man City (4-2-3-1): Gianluigi Donnarumma; Matheus Nunes, Marc Guehi, Nathan Ake, Nico O'Reilly; Nico Gonzelez, Bernardo Silva; Antoine Semenyo, Rayan Cherki, Jeremy Doku; Erling Haaland

Defender Abdukodir Khusanov missed the Brentford game with a knock and is doubtful for the Palace match.

Midfielder Rodri and defender Josko Gvardiol could return on Wednesday. Pep Guardiola explained that Gvardiol has recently returned to training following a broken leg and said, “He’s training and feels good.”

“It’s been many months, last season he was an important player for us with many injuries, he plays all the games, but the body says at one moment enough is enough.”

Crystal Palace (3-4-2-1): Dean Henderson; Chris Richards, Maxence Lacroix, Jaydee Canvot; Daniel Munoz, Adam Wharton, Daichi Kamada, Tyrick Mitchell; Ismaila Sarr, Yeremy Pino; Jean Philippe-Mateta

Wing-back Borna Sosa and forward Evann Guessand could return to the squad following recent injuries.

Attacker Edward Nketiah is out with a hamstring issue and midfielder Cheick Doucoure is also sidelined due to injury.

Verdict

Man City are in-form at the Etihad and can keep winning against a patchy Crystal Palace side. Both slides get amongst the goals and a high-scoring Citizens victory is the best bet.
