Zimbabwe vs Rwanda Live Stream & Tips - Rwanda set to lose more ground as qualification hopes fade

Zimbabwe and Rwanda are both struggling in Group C of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Zimbabwe sit at the bottom of the group after a narrow loss to Benin, while Rwanda lost to Nigeria and have dropped points in recent fixtures. Both teams have scored and conceded few goals in the last five games, highlighting attacking and defensive challenges. The stats and recent form point towards a tightly contested match, with a BTTS (both teams to score) 1-1 draw being the most likely outcome.

Zimbabwe vs Rwanda Preview

Rwanda's early form in the World Cup qualifiers has faded badly, however, victory here could keep them in the race. I am backing Zimbabwe to get a point at home though.

Head to Head

Zimbabwe and Rwanda each have two wins, including one draw, in five meetings.

Zimbabwe Form

Zimbabwe were narrowly defeated 1-0 by Benin in their World Cup qualifier last weekend.

Zimbabwe held Benin in the first half, as the sides went into the break with the score unchanged since kick-off.

Zimbabwe had moments to score in the second half, but it was Benin who grabbed the winner in the 77th minute of the match.

Zimbabwe are last in the Group C table with six points from seven games. They have secured one win, three draws, and three defeats.

The Warriors have drawn three of their last five games, including two defeats. They scored four goals and conceded seven.

Zimbabwe have had a poor World Cup qualifying campaign, as they have failed to win any of their fixtures so far. Can they finally secure victory against Rwanda?

Rwanda Form

Rwanda came up short against Nigeria in their FIFA World Cup qualification fixture last weekend, losing 1-0 to the Super Eagles.

Amavubi had chances to score during the contest, but Nigeria took the lead after 51 minutes of play, which proved to be the winning goal.

Rwanda are 4th in the Group C standings with eight points from seven matches. They have won two, drawn four, and lost one.

The Wasps have won one of their last five fixtures, including three defeats and one draw. They have scored three goals and conceded seven.

Rwanda have battled to come up with the goods lately, and will need to play well to beat a Zimbabwean side that often draws their matches.

Verdict

A BTTS draw with a 1-1 score is tipped between Zimbabwe and Rwanda, as neither team is in the best of form coming into this World Cup qualifier.
