Real Betis had a slow start to the season, 1-1 draws at Elche and Celta Vigo either side of a 1-0 win against Deportivo Alaves. They suffered a deserved 2-1 defeat against Athletic Bilbao.

Betis came from 2-0 down to earn a 2-2 draw at Levante, Pablo Fornals scoring late on as they ended with 67% possession and 28-5 shots.

The Sevilla club beat Real Sociedad 3-1 on Friday, ending the contest with 2.25-0.68 expected goals. Cucho Hernandez scored in successive games as he tries to improve on the five scored in La Liga last season.

Nottingham Forest Form


Nottingham Forest started the season well but a 3-0 home defeat to West Ham proved to be Nuno Espirito Santo’s last as manager. Former Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou took over and hasn’t won in three games.

Postecoglou’s new side had one shot on target in a 3-0 defeat at Arsenal. Igor Jesus scored two goals to make it 2-0 at Swansea in the League Cup, but they conceded twice in added time to lose 3-2 and exit the competition against the Championship club.

Forest drew 1-1 at Burnley on Saturday, ending with 63% possession and 8-5 shots on target. Neco Williams scored in the 2nd minute as they failed to hold on once again.
