Viktoria Plzen haven’t lost in the Europa League, conceding only two goals in six matches. Porto's defence has been incredible this season, under 2.5 goals my best bet in Czechia.

HTH

This will be the first match between Viktoria Plzen and Porto.

Best Defence in the Europa League

Martin Hysky became Plzen manager in October and won his first five games in charge. The Czech club have drawn all three Europa League matches under the new boss.

Two 0-0 draws against Fenerbahce and Freiburg were followed by another 0-0 draw at Panathinaikos. The results confirm their defensive prowess, just two goals conceded in six games the best in the competition.

Hysky’s side haven’t lost in the Europa League, four draws and two victories that includes a 2-1 win at Roma where they had 0.16-2.28 xG.

Viktoria Plzen haven’t played a competitive clash since 14 December when they won 2-0 against Dukla Prague. The result left them fourth on the Chance Liga table, 13 points behind Slavia Prague.

Porto Aiming for 10 Straight

Porto have won nine consecutive matches, scoring 19 goals with only three conceded. They beat Benfica 1-0 in the Portuguese Cup quarter-finals thanks to Jan Bednarek’s early goal.

The Dragons are coming off a hard fought 1-0 win at Vitoria de Guimaraes. Samu missed an early penalty before Alan Varela converted a late spot kick, preserving their seven points lead a the top of the Primeira Liga.

Francesco Farioli’s side have been in sensational form all season long, winning 17 of their 18 games, conceding four goals in the process.

Porto sit eighth on the Europa League table, the only defeat coming in England where they lost 2-0 at Nottingham Forest.

Confirmed Lineups & Team News

Viktoria Plzen (3-4-1-2) Florian Wiegele; Karel Spacil, Merchas Doski, Cheick Souare; Amar Memic, Lukas Cerv, Matej Valenta, Denis Visinsky; Tomas Ladra; Matej Vydra, Christophe Kabongo

Merchas Doski and Cheick Souar start in defence with Adrian Zeljkovic on the bench, David Krcik and Daniel Vasulin are not in the squad.

Porto (4-3-3) Diogo Costa; Alberto Costa, Jan Bednarek, Jakub Kiwior, Martim Fernandes; Victor Froholdt, Pablo Rosario, Rodrigo Mora; William Gomes, Samu Aghehowa, Borja Sainz

Francisco Moura and Zaidu Sanusi are on the bench with Martim Fernandes continuing at left-back.

Verdict

Porto have won nine straight games but haven’t been convincing on the road in the Europa League. Viktoria Plzen have the best defence in the competition where they are unbeaten, under 2.5 goals my best bet.
