There is competitive greyhound racing action at both Yarmouth and Sunderland on Wednesday with 12 races apiece to get stuck into at both meetings. The meetings are, of course, adhering to strict social distancing guidelines and will be held behind closed doors.

However, you can watch all of the action live via a number of bookmaker apps including bet365, which give you the opportunity to watch all of the race online.

We've previewed the action with our best bets with the action focusing on graded racing. We are looking to be quick out of the traps with a number of fancies at both meetings.

Sunderland Greyhound Tips (July 8)

7:09: Sunderland: Lughill Frankie (Trap Two): A smooth winner over course and distance on his latest start, that win came in a good time and he looks perfectly drawn in Trap Two to track the pace and attack late.

7:56: Sunderland: Mayhem Mollie (Trap Three): Has been keeping better company of this and should relish the drop in grade. The Taylors Sky bitch has not been disgraced in the last few runs and this looks a good opportunity.

8:27: Sunderland: Many Returns (Trap Five): This looks a competitive A2 but Many Returns is ultra-consistent. He has shaped well in a couple of trials of late and if race-fit, his class can see him through.

8:46: Sunderland: Question Time (Trap Three): This bitch has finished second on her last three starts and whilst that is slightly concerning, she brings the key form-line into this race when she finished second last time out, a race in which two other dogs were behind her. With that in mind, she can make amends here with trap three likely to suit.

9:01: Sunderland: Prozac Ted (Trap Five): A confident selection. This dog is a proven A1 performer and was a smooth winner in this grade last time out and there is plenty more improvement to come going forward.

Yarmouth Greyhound Tips (July 8)

7:51: Yarmouth: Killglen Tess (Trap Five): This is another competitive event, but this bitch has been running with credit of late and met trouble in running in this grade last time and can make amends here.

8:21: Yarmouth: Duty Calls (Trap One): Draw is a concern but he’s in the form of his life and if able to break sharply and able to bag the rails, he should prove tough to beat.

8:36: Yarmouth: Mollys Game (Trap Six): This looks ultra-competitive, but Mollys Game has a great opportunity to get on the scoresheet. She was unlucky at Yarmouth last time when only third, but she has bags of early pace and she can show her class here.

8:52: Yarmouth: Thischarmingman (Trap Two): Bet of the night for all those Morrissey and Johnny Marr fans out there. Thischarmingman has been hitting the crossbar of late, but as Morrissey once sang: “There is a light that never goes out” and you can’t question this dog’s ability in a race which could allow him to get off the mark.
