Buffalo Sabres vs Ottawa Senators NHL Predictions & Betting Tips - Player Props Take Centre Stage


Tage Thompson's relentless shooting and Drake Batherson's excellent scoring form make the player markets the focus in Buffalo, with Jack Quinn also backed to find the net.

The Senators visit the Sabres at KeyBank Center, with both teams showing plenty of attacking quality. Rather than picking a winner or game total, the strongest opportunities come from three players producing consistently.

Batherson is the standout selection, having registered a point in nine of his last ten games, including five straight. He has nine goals and nine assists through 16 appearances, making 1+ point an attractive option.

Thompson has been firing from everywhere, recording 4+ shots in ten of his 14 games. He's produced 12 shots across his last two appearances, including eight against Los Angeles.

Quinn completes the card with an anytime goalscorer selection. He's scored in seven of Buffalo's 14 games, including three of his last five, and Ottawa's struggling 72.9% penalty kill provides another opportunity.

Buffalo have won three consecutive games and arrive with additional rest, having last played on Saturday.

Thursday's 7-6 victory over Anaheim featured a Thompson hat trick, including two goals just 15 seconds apart. The Sabres followed that with a 3-2 win against Los Angeles, where Quinn opened the scoring on the power play before Thompson delivered the winner.

Thompson has been particularly aggressive offensively, averaging 4.5 shots per game. Quinn has also been productive with eight goals, while Buffalo's attacking depth has helped compensate for a defence conceding 3.50 goals per game.

Ottawa Senators Form


Ottawa are 9-6-1 and have scored 21 goals across their last five games, although their defensive performances have been inconsistent.

Saturday's 5-1 victory over San Jose featured another goal from Batherson, who continued his excellent scoring run. However, Sunday's 6-3 defeat against Anaheim exposed Ottawa's defensive weaknesses after the Senators surrendered an early three-goal lead.

Batherson has been Ottawa's most consistent attacking contributor recently, collecting points in five straight games. The absence of Linus Ullmark remains a concern in goal, while the Senators' 72.9% penalty kill could leave them vulnerable against Buffalo's scoring threats.
