Columbus Blue Jackets vs Dallas Stars NHL Predictions & Betting Tips - Stars to Win Again


Dallas are backed to beat Columbus for the second time in a week, with Jason Robertson tipped for 3+ shots on goal and Kent Johnson to register a point for the Blue Jackets.

The Stars head to Nationwide Arena having won seven of their last ten games, with Jake Oettinger's impressive form providing the foundation for another victory.

Dallas have won four of their six road games, while Oettinger has recorded eight wins in 12 starts with a 1.91 goals-against average. Columbus are a tougher proposition at home, but the Stars held them to just one goal in their previous meeting.

Robertson is also enjoying an excellent run, fresh from a hat trick against Washington. He's recorded at least three shots in 11 of his 15 appearances, including eight of his last ten.

Johnson offers value for Columbus, having registered a point in ten of his 13 games, including five straight. He also assisted on the Blue Jackets' only goal against Dallas last weekend.

Columbus have won four of their last ten games, but their home record has been considerably stronger, with five victories from eight appearances at Nationwide Arena.

Tuesday's 7-2 victory over Colorado showcased their attacking potential, with Charlie Coyle contributing two goals and two assists. However, Saturday's 3-1 defeat in Dallas was frustrating after the Blue Jackets outshot the Stars 25-17.

Johnson has been one of Columbus' most consistent performers, leading the team with seven goals and sharing the points lead with Coyle on 13. His current five-game points streak makes him an attractive option even against a strong Dallas defence.

Dallas have won seven of their last ten games, with their penalty kill and goaltending playing important roles in that success.

Tuesday's 6-5 victory over Washington featured a remarkable Robertson hat trick, with all three goals coming in just over five minutes during the second period. The Stars nearly surrendered their advantage but held on for another important win.

Robertson and Mikko Rantanen lead Dallas with 18 points each, while Oettinger has been outstanding in goal. The Stars have also killed 30 of their last 33 penalties, although Miro Heiskanen's uncertain availability could weaken their defence.
