Djurgården are tipped to win against HV71, with the selection including overtime and shootout. Djurgården have won their last three home games, while HV71 remain winless away, losing all six road matches. Charles Hudon, who leads Djurgården with five goals and five assists in 13 appearances, is expected to record a point, having contributed in his last three games. Nikola Pasic is also tipped to register a point for HV71, as he has scored in three straight games despite the team's struggles. Both player points are separate selections.

Djurgården vs HV71 Tips and Predictions

I’m backing Djurgården to win, including overtime and shootout, on Thursday. Neither side has had the start they wanted, but the hosts have been getting results at home.

HV71 are still looking for their first away win, and I’m not taking them to break that run here.

Djurgården have won their last three home games, beating Örebro, Linköping and Malmö. They also picked up a welcome overtime win at Luleå on Saturday, with Charles Hudon scoring the winner. That should put a bit of life into them heading back to Stockholm.

HV71 have lost all six away games, five of them in regulation. Djurgården aren’t a side I want to ask too much of on a handicap, but they’ve shown they can get through tight games. I’m taking the home win with overtime and shootout included.

Hudon leads Djurgården with five goals and five assists in 13 appearances, and he has recorded a point in each of his last three games. Coming off that winner at Luleå and facing a side that has conceded 45 goals in 12 matches, I’m backing him to help steer the hosts to another win with a point-producing performance.

Nikola Pasic is my second points pick. He has kept contributing despite HV71’s struggles, making the scoresheet in three straight appearances and seven of 12 overall. Djurgården have had their own problems keeping the puck out, so I’m backing Pasic to give the visitors something to show for their evening.

  • Djurgården have won their last three home games.
  • Djurgården have won four of six home appearances this season.
  • HV71 have lost all six away games, including five in regulation.
  • HV71 have conceded 18 goals across their last five matches.
  • Charles Hudon has recorded a point in three consecutive appearances.
  • Nikola Pasic has recorded a point in three straight games and seven of 12 overall.

Djurgården Form

Djurgården ended a difficult road stretch with Saturday’s 3–2 overtime victory at Luleå. After losing 6–2 at Frölunda and 4–1 at Skellefteå, they badly needed something to take home. Hudon supplied it with the deciding goal in overtime.

Their recent home performances give them something firmer to build on. They beat Örebro 2–1 and Linköping 5–1 before edging Malmö in a shootout. Hudon leads the scoring with 10 points, while Joe Snively has seven and has contributed in each of his last two appearances.

HV71 Form

HV71 head to Stockholm after a 6–2 home defeat against Frölunda. They’ve lost four straight since beating Brynäs, although overtime and shootout defeats against Timrå and Linköping brought a couple of points along the way. With only three wins from 12, they remain bottom of the standings.

Getting in front hasn’t been the problem—they’ve scored first in 10 of those 12 games. Holding on has been another matter, and all three wins have come at home. Jan Mysak leads their goalscoring with eight, while Pavol Regenda has 11 points and Pasic has kept his own scoring run going.

Verdict

Djurgården to win, including overtime and shootout, is my main pick, with Charles Hudon and Nikola Pasic to record a point as separate selections
