Färjestad vs Rögle SHL Predictions & Betting Tips - Back FBK at Home


Färjestad have made an impressive start at both ends of the ice and are backed to beat Rögle including overtime and shootouts when the teams meet in Karlstad on Thursday.

Färjestad opened the season by demolishing Örebro 7-0 before taking a point from a tight 3-2 shootout defeat away to Frölunda. That gives FBK nine goals through their opening two matches, while they have conceded just two in regulation.

There has already been plenty of depth to the Färjestad attack. Seven different players scored against Örebro, and after producing seven at Löfbergs Arena in their first home game, another three or more goals from FBK looks achievable against Rögle.

Viktor Lodin could be right in the middle of it again. The Färjestad forward scored and added two assists against Örebro before finding the net again against Frölunda, giving him goals in each of his first two SHL appearances.

Färjestad could hardly have started better, thrashing Örebro 7-0 at Löfbergs Arena. They led 4-0 after the opening period and eventually finished with 38 shots on goal.

Their power play was lethal in the opener, converting four of five opportunities. Viktor Lodin was among the standout performers with a goal and two assists, while Axel Bergkvist also produced a three-point night.

Tuesday's trip to Frölunda was a very different test. Färjestad led 2-1 after two periods through goals from Lodin and Joakim Nygård, before Frölunda equalised and eventually took the extra point in a shootout. Despite the defeat, FBK have yet to lose in regulation this season.

Rögle Form


Rögle's season began with a 4-2 defeat away to Luleå, although they made an excellent start to that game. Karson Kuhlman and Nathaniel Clurman had them 2-0 ahead inside the opening ten minutes before Luleå took control.

They responded strongly at home on Tuesday, beating Djurgården 3-1 to record their first victory of the season.

That leaves Rögle at 1-1 through their opening two games, with five goals scored and five conceded. Thursday brings another road test against a Färjestad side that scored seven in its only home appearance so far.
