The Latvians were unable to build on that success though, as they suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Austria last time out.

Finland enter this game having made a perfect start to the tournament, winning each of their first three outings.

The Finns have had an unhealthy knack for starting slow in the World Championship in recent years, but that has not been the case this time around.

They kicked off the competition with a 3-1 victory over Germany, and backed that up with a 4-1 demolition of Hungary.

That set Finland up for a big clash with defending champions, the United States, and they were able to maintain their 100% record in impressive fashion.

Not only did the Finns beat the Americans – they blew them out as they recorded a 6-2 victory.
