Carlos Alcaraz vs Andrey Rublev Live Stream & Betting Tips - Total Games Market in Play in Qatar
Carlos Alcaraz, the World No.1 tennis player, is experiencing impressive form in the Qatar Open. After hiring a new coach, Alcaraz started the 2026 season with a bang, including winning the Australian Open. He faces Andrey Rublev, whose recent performances against top-rated players have been less favorable. While Rublev is a two-time Doha champion, Alcaraz's consistent dominance, particularly in five encounters against Rublev, makes him the favorite. Despite expected challenges, Alcaraz is predicted to advance in the tournament.
- Alcaraz has gone over 22.5 games in 4 of his last 5 matches in Doha
- Rublev has won two titles in Qatar but is struggling vs Top 10 players
- Watch Carlos Alcaraz vs Andrey Rublev live in the semi-finals
Carlos Alcaraz has been battling in Qatar and needed 3 sets to get past Karen Khachanov. I don’t think Andrey Rublev can beat the World No.1, but he can do enough to take this one over 19.5 games.

Alcaraz Getting it Done in Doha
Carlos Alcaraz started 2026 with a new coach after Samuel Lopez replaced Juan Carlos Ferrero. It paid off immediately as he won the Australian Open and became the youngest man to win the Career Grand Slam.
The World No.1 didn’t drop a set on his way to the semi-finals where he beat Alexander Zverev in 5 sets. He had a slow start in the final before coming back to beat Novak Djokovic 2-6 6-2 6-3 7-5.
The 22-year-old has struggled to put his opponents away in Doha but his class continues to shine. He defeated Arthur Rinderknech 6-4 7-6 and got past Valentin Royer 6-2 7-5, saving 4/5 break points.
The Spaniard did the hard way in the quarter-finals, defeating Karen Khachanov 6-7 6-4 6-3 after saving all three break points.
Rublev Remains Outside Top 10
Andrey Rublev slipped out of the Top 10 in May and his struggles against top players continues. He is 1-11 against Top 10 players since August 2024.
This year has been no different, starting with a semi-final exit to Lorenzo Musetti in Hong Kong. He suffered a straight sets defeat to Francisco Cerundolo in the Australian Open third round.
Rublev hasn’t lost a set in Doha where he has won two titles. He got past Jesper de Jong 6-4 6-3, Fabian Marozsan 6-2 6-4 and Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3 7-6, saving a combined 7/9 break points.
Verdict
Andrey Rublev has won two Qatar Open titles but is regularly getting outplayed by Top 10 players. Carlos Alcaraz should emerge victorious here, but it might not be as easy as the odds suggest.
