Jakub Mensik vs Jannik Sinner Live Stream & Betting Tips - Sinner Set for Another Victory at ATP Doha
Jakub Mensik, on an impressive 9-match winning streak, faces a major test against Jannik Sinner in Doha. Sinner, ranked No.2, possesses a formidable record with 56 wins in his last 61 matches and is expected to maintain his dominance. Despite Mensik's breakthrough performances, including a Top 20 ranking and wins in the United Cup and Auckland, he has not yet triumphed over a Top 30 player. Sinner's consistent form makes him the favorite in this first encounter between the two. Mensik, however, hopes to capitalize on his current momentum to create an upset.
- Jakub Mensik has won his last 9 completed matches
- The Czech will be facing Jannik Sinner for the first time
- Sinner hasn't allowed a break point at the Qatar Open
Jakub Mensik has won nine straight matches but none of those came against a Top 30 player. These players are meeting for the first time, but Jannik Sinner is unlikely to slip up in Doha.

Mensik Battling Injuries
Jakub Mensik won the Miami Masters last year and has been a Top 20 player since May. He ended 2025 with niggling injuries that hampered his progress.
The 20-year-old had an average start at the United Cup before winning the title in Auckland.
The Czech had another easy draw at the Australian Open where he cruised into the fourth round. He was forced to withdraw with an abdominal injury before a high profile clash against Novak Djokovic.
He addressed the issue before leaving Melbourne, saying: “After doing everything we could to keep going, I have to withdraw from the Australian Open due to an abdominal muscle injury that has progressed over the last matches.”
“Even though I’m disappointed, making the fourth round here for the first time is something I will carry with me for a long time.”
Mensik got past qualifier Jan Choinski 6-7 6-2 6-4 in the first round in Doha. He improved in the second round, thrashing Zhizhen Zhang 6-3 6-2 in 66 minutes.
Sinner Serving Strong
Jannik Sinner ended 2025 with 15 straight victories and maintained that form at the Australian Open. He lost one set on his way to the semi-finals, including a straight sets victory over 8th seed Ben Shelton.
The World No.2 was leading Novak Djokovic but couldn’t close it out, going down 3-6 6-3 4-6 6-4 6-4 in over four hours.
The 24-year-old hasn’t given up a break point in Doha, defeating Tomas Machac 6-1 6-4 and Alexei Popyrin 6-3 7-5.
The win gave Sinner his 50th consecutive wins against players outside the Top 50. He said: “The ranking, at the end of the day, is just a number. Everyone is playing [with] high quality. Especially when the opponents don’t have much to lose, you always have to stay very focused.”
Verdict
Jakub Mensik has won nine straight matches but none of those came against a Top 30 player. He is meeting Jannik Sinner for the first time which brings the first set games market into play.
