Darren Till Won BKFC Debut
Darren Till is a former UFC welterweight title contender who crossed over into boxing last year, before entering bare knuckle fighting in 2026.
The 33-year-old Liverpudlian fought his way into title contention after signing with the UFC in 2015, going unbeaten in six straight fights to set up a showdown with Tyron Woodley.
Till came up short though, losing via second-round submission, and his fortunes quickly took a nosedive after that loss.
He was knocked by Jorge Masvidal in his next outing, and then failed to build on a split decision success against Kelvin Gastelum as he lost his final three fights for the UFC.
‘The Gorilla’ dropped a unanimous decision to Robert Whittaker, and then suffered back-to-back third-round submission losses to Derek Brunson and Dricus du Plessis before exiting mixed martial arts.
Till crossed over to boxing where he beat MMA fighters Anthony Taylor and Darren Stewart under the Misfits banner, before making a successful professional debut as he knocked out former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold in the third round.
The Englishman then made his bare knuckle debut back in May, knocking out Aaron Chalmers in the second round at BKFC 90.
Yoel Romero Lost Last Bare Knuckle Fight
Yoel Romero is a former UFC middleweight title contender who has entered bare knuckle fight after a brief stint in dirty boxing.
Romero went on a devastating run of knockouts just over a decade ago, stopping MMA legends like Lyoto Machida, Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza and Chris Weidman, and that earned him an interim title fight in July 2017.
The now 49-year-old Cuban lost that fight, dropping a decision to Robert Whittaker, and when he received another crack at that belt a year later he missed weight, meaning his third-round knockout of Luke Rockhold did not earn him the belt.
From three he lost three straight fights for the UFC, before moving on to Bellator and then the PFL, compiling a 3-1 record.
‘The Soldier of God’ entered dirty boxing after that and scored a couple of knockout wins, while also marking his bare knuckle debut with a second-round stoppage of Theo Doukaus in September of last year.
Romero failed to follow that up as he then lost a decision to Vagav Vagabov, but he does enter this fight on the back of a win, having returned to MMA in May to knock out Alex Nicholson in 71 seconds.

Yoel Romero boasts raw power, but Darren Till is younger, faster and is the more talented boxer.
