Jamel Herring defends his Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship bantamweight title against the current flyweight champion, John Dodson, in the main event of BKFC 95 on Saturday, October 17.

The fight can be exclusively seen globally in over 200 countries on DAZN.

Herring – a former boxing world champion who has shared the ring with the likes of Shakur Stevenson and Carl Frampton – entered the world of bare knuckle fighting at the start of the year, marking his debut with a victory over Matt Guymon.

That success earned the 40-year-old American a shot at the bantamweight belt in May, and he left California with the crown thanks to a unanimous decision victory over Michael Lattimore.

He now makes his first defence against Dodson – a former UFC title contender who has compiled a 4-0-1 record in the BKFC and currently holds the flyweight crown.

‘The Magician’ enters this fight as an underdog, but can he pull off an upset in this main event fight, or will Herring enjoy a successful first defence of the crown?

You can see for yourself thanks to DAZN’s global live streaming service, which is broadcasting the fight live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Verdict

Jamel Herring v John Dodson

John Dodson is unbeaten in bare knuckle fighting, but it’s been over two years since he last fought and now he is facing one of the most skilled fighters in the sport.

Herring’s superior boxing skills and length can be decisive here, as he dictates pace and distance to out-point Dodson on the scorecards.
