UFC Fight Night Preview
The headine fight sees home favourite Jack Della Maddalena take on Carlos Prates in a battle of top-five contenders in the welterweight division.
Della Maddelana is a former welterweight champion who won the title from Belal Muhammad in May 2025, only to lose it six months later when he lost to Islam Makhachev by unanimous decision in New York.
The Australian fighter will now look to rebound from that loss against a rising contender in Prates.
The Brazilian’s rise up the welterweight ladder was slowed by a points loss to Ian Machado Garry in April of last year, but he responded to that setback in impressive fashion to break into the top five.
Prates knocked out Geoff Neal in the first round of their fight in the summer, before ending the year with a second-round knockout of former welterweight champion Leon Edwards.
But can Prates make it three-in-a-row to strengthen his calls for a title shot, or will Della Maddalena move one step closer to another crack at the championship?
