Finland vs Greece Live Stream & Tips – Long Battle Expected at the EuroVolley 2026
Finland demonstrated stronger form than Greece during the first phase of play, yet faces a disadvantage due to limited experience in knockout rounds. The game on Sunday is expected to be highly competitive and possibly go the distance. Expert analysis recommends betting on Over 181.5 points as the most favorable option, highlighting the likelihood of a high-scoring and closely fought contest.
- Finland played above expectations in the group phase
- They lack experience in elimination matches though

Finland Emerging as One of the Tournament's Surprises
Finland are one of the most pleasant surprise packages at the European Championship 2026 so far, topping their group after causing a couple of upsets with a 4-1 record.
After beating Denmark in straight sets in the opening match, the Finns upset Belgium in a five-set thriller, then cruised past Serbia 3-0 and the Netherlands 3-2. Then, after already securing first place, they lost to Estonia 3-2.
Their biggest achievement so far was fourth place at the European Championship in 2007, and they also got promoted to the Volleyball Nations League for the 2027 edition.
Greece Turning Their Campaign Around
Greece started the tournament with two consecutive defeats against the Czech Republic 3-1 and Italy 3-0, then caused a major upset by defeating Slovenia 3-1.
Their spot in the playoffs was secured earlier this week in a direct battle for this position against Sweden, winning 3-1, then also outplayed Slovakia in the final round with the same scoreline.
Hellas also competed at the European Championship three years ago and were nowhere close to reaching the second phase, winning just one out of five matches in the group stages.
Verdict
Finland have shown more than Greece in the first phase, but lack experience when it comes to elimination matches. I expect this to be a tight and long battle on Sunday, with Over 181.5 points being the best bet.
