Serbia were one of the potential dark horses before the tournament started and currently sit in third place in Group C with a 3-1 record.

Even though a 3-1 scoreline might not suggest it, their opening clash against Estonia was very close, covering just a –4.5 handicap, followed by a defeat to Finland in straight sets.

Serbia were on the edge of losing against the Netherlands in the third round, trailing by two sets as favorites, but pulled off a comeback and won 17-15 in the tiebreaker.

The same scenario unfolded yesterday, as they recovered from a 2-0 deficit and beat Denmark 3-2 in dramatic fashion.

Belgium Aiming for Second Place in Group C

Like their upcoming opponents, Belgium are also at a 75% win rate after four rounds, sharing second place with Serbia and already clinching a spot in the playoffs.

After starting the tournament with a 3-1 victory against archrivals the Netherlands, they were beaten by current group leaders Finland 3-2, which was considered an upset.

Belgium returned to winning ways instantly, claiming back-to-back victories against Denmark and Estonia with a 3-1 scoreline on both occasions.
