AEK Athens vs Panathinaikos Live Stream & Tips – Tight Derby Expected in the Basket League
In the upcoming AEK Athens v Panathinaikos fixture, the recommended selection is AEK Athens with a +12.5 handicap. Panathinaikos have exposed some weaknesses in the past two weeks, losing a couple of games and recently enduring an exhausting overtime battle against Real Madrid. This scenario could favour AEK Athens, as Panathinaikos may be affected by fatigue and recent form issues. The tip is based on these factors, suggesting AEK Athens are well-positioned to challenge with the handicap advantage.

Match Preview
Panathinaikos slipped up against Aris last weekend and had a demanding EuroLeague match against Real Madrid. Can Zeljko Obradovic's side cruise past AEK Athens, who have been underperforming this season?
AEK Athens Looking for a Breakthrough
AEK Athens are off to a very disappointing start in the new Greek Basket League campaign, claiming just two victories in the opening five rounds.
Their shooting numbers were disastrous two weeks ago, resulting in a narrow 64-62 defeat to PAOK in Thessaloniki, while last weekend's clash against recently promoted Vikos was even worse, ending in a 95-84 loss.
After getting smashed at home by Antwerp Giants 103-76 in the FIBA Champions League, the Double Headed Eagles finally returned to winning ways earlier this week with a 72-66 victory against Szombathely in Hungary. Nelly Joseph was named man of the match with nine points and ten rebounds.
Panathinaikos Showing Signs of Vulnerability
Panathinaikos are coming off a dramatic 115-112 overtime victory against Real Madrid in the EuroLeague, which kept them in the leading position after ten rounds, as the only team to have won eight games. Kendrick Nunn was unstoppable with 33 points.
Speaking of their domestic campaign, Zeljko Obradovic made a lot of rotations last weekend against another title contender, Aris, but his side suffered a surprising 101-91 defeat in Thessaloniki. 20 turnovers and 25/37 shooting from the free-throw line were too much to overcome.
Panathinaikos are currently fourth in the Greek Basket League with four victories and one defeat, just behind PAOK, Olympiakos and Aris.

Verdict
Panathinaikos have finally revealed some weak spots over the last two weeks, losing a couple of games, and are coming off an exhausting clash against Real Madrid that went to overtime. This could be a good chance for AEK Athens to cause trouble, so a home win with a +12.5 handicap is my pick.
