In the Marousi v Olympiakos fixture, under 165.5 points is tipped due to both teams' offensive struggles. Marousi are described as limited in attack, while Olympiakos are missing key players such as Jean Montero. Olympiakos' recent poor performance, scoring just 57 points against Crvena Zvezda, further supports the expectation of a low-scoring game. These factors combine to make under 165.5 points the recommended selection for this match.

Match Preview

The last time Marousi came even close to beating Olympiakos was in February 2024, when they lost 93-87. Can the home side cause trouble on Sunday if the Piraeus giants start rotating heavily?

Marousi Finally End Their Losing Streak

Marousi are having a lot of problems in the new Basket League season, entering this clash as the 11th-placed team with a record of one victory and four defeats.

They were beaten in their first four appearances by AEK Athens 91-70, Mykonos 82-79, Aris 74-57 and Peristeri 83-81, while not participating in any European competition this year.

Marousi's losing streak was finally brought to an end last weekend with an 87-76 home victory against Promitheas. The hosts allowed just 21 points in the first half, building a huge advantage. Lance Ware was named man of the match with 14 points, four rebounds and three assists.

Olympiakos Looking to Bounce Back From EuroLeague Setback

Olympiakos are coming off a somewhat surprising 62-57 home defeat to Crvena Zvezda in the EuroLeague, which was their worst offensive performance in years. The Piraeus giants converted just 22 of 71 field-goal attempts, although it is worth adding that a couple of star players were injured.

Their results and form have been fantastic in the Greek Basket League, where Olympiakos share the top spot with Aris Thessaloniki, with both sides winning all five games so far.

Last weekend, the Red & Whites crushed Peristeri 91-62 in front of their home crowd, with Sasha Vezenkov leading the way with 21 points and seven rebounds, shooting 8/14 from the field.

Verdict

Marousi are very limited in terms of attacking options in my opinion, while Olympiakos are also dealing with injuries to star players like Jean Montero. The Red & Whites looked terrible against Crvena Zvezda, scoring just 57 points, so under 165.5 points is my pick here.
