ASVEL vs Valencia Live Stream & Tips – Oranges to Cover in the EuroLeague
Valencia, even with changes to their roster, remains one of the quickest teams in the EuroLeague. Coach Albert ensured the squad stayed fresh by resting key players during their recent game against Baskonia. This tactical move aims to maximize their energy and speed in the upcoming match versus ASVEL. The recommendation is to back Valencia to win, using a -3.5 handicap, as their maintained fitness and pace give them a clear advantage over their rivals.

Signing TJ Shorts from Panathinaikos is probably the best move Valencia have made in years. His performances in the opening two rounds were outstanding, helping the Oranges win two EuroLeague games in a row. Can they extend this run on Friday against Tony Parker's ASVEL?

Mixed Results for the Hosts so Far
Fantastic three-point shooting (16/34) pushed ASVEL to victory in their EuroLeague opening match against Maccabi Tel Aviv 84-74 last week at home. Jae Crowder was named man of the match with 19 points.
Last weekend, they defeated Cholet 97-85 on the road in the French LNB after landing 58 points in the first half. Veteran Patty Mills led the way here with 17 points.
Tony Parker's side was nowhere close to upsetting Panathinaikos on Wednesday night in Athens, losing convincingly 102-79, mainly due to a disastrous first half (34-56) and poor free-throw execution (14/22).
Valencia Carrying Strong Form Into Their Trip to France
A lot of important players and head coach Pedro Martinez left Valencia after enjoying a successful campaign last season, so their inconsistency in the new season doesn't come as a surprise.
They were victorious in the EuroLeague opening clash against Besiktas 96-94 in Turkey last week (TJ Shorts had an amazing performance with 26 points), while also beating Baskonia 111-88 in the second round on Tuesday.
The Oranges are having a lot of problems on the domestic front, first losing the Super Cup semifinals to Barcelona 87-86, then losing to Lleida 105-100 in the ACB opener last weekend despite being tagged as massive favorites.

Verdict
Even with this new roster, Valencia are one of the fastest teams in the EuroLeague, and they kept their fitness levels up after Albert rested a majority of his stars in the second half against Baskonia. I am backing the Oranges to outrun ASVEL and win with a –3.5 handicap.
