Panathinaikos vs Maccabi Tel Aviv Live Stream & Tips – Handicap in Play in the EuroLeague
Despite Maccabi's slim chances of an outright victory over powerhouse PAO, their deep and robust roster is expected to fuel a stronger performance than in the previous two rounds. The suggested bet is a handicap: Maccabi +12.5. This line offers value for bettors, given the team's potential improvements and resilience. The article advises caution on picking an outright upset, but expresses confidence in Maccabi keeping the game within a competitive margin.

Match Preview
Even though their expectations were high after signing some big names during the summer, Maccabi Tel Aviv are having an underwhelming start to the new season. Judging by the odds, their chances of upsetting Zeljko Obradovic's Panathinaikos are minimal.
Panathinaikos Delivering in the EuroLeague
Panathinaikos opened the new campaign in the best way possible, crushing Paris 91-72 in the EuroLeague opening round earlier this week, which was also Zeljko Obradovic's first game in charge since he returned to Athens.
However, they failed to connect and suffered a quite surprising 84-82 defeat to PAOK in the Greek Super Cup semifinals last weekend, with their former player Cedi Osman landing a three-pointer with a few seconds left on the clock.
Panathinaikos returned to winning ways on Wednesday night by taking a commanding 102-79 victory against ASVEL at home. The game was pretty much decided after 20 minutes, with PAO holding a 56-34 lead at half-time. Summer signing Sylvain Francisco was the top performer with 19 points.
Maccabi off to a Rocky Start
Maccabi's start to the new EuroLeague season was disappointing, losing 84-74 to one of the weakest sides in the competition, ASVEL, where the opposition had a lot of open three-pointers, landing 16 out of 34.
The Yellows were tagged as favorites to recover on Wednesday night as the "hosts" (neutral venue in Belgrade), but their defending was disastrous, leading to a 109-93 defeat. They once again struggled to defend shooting beyond the arc.
Speaking of their domestic affairs, Maccabi are at a 100% win rate in Israel, beating Hapoel Tel Aviv 101-83 to take the Super Cup, while also outplaying Ironi Kiryat Ata 109-61 in the League Cup last weekend.

Verdict
While I do agree that Maccabi's chances of upsetting PAO are minimal, I expect them to perform much better than in the opening two rounds. Their roster is wide and strong, so an away win with a +12.5 handicap is the pick.
