Rising British star Ben Whittaker (10-0-1, 7 KOs) will look to continue his climb up the light-heavyweight ladder when he faces Braian Suarez (21-4, 20 KOs) at M&S Arena in Liverpool, England on Saturday, April 18.

Whittaker entered the professional ranks in the summer of 2022 after a stellar amateur career that saw him win medals at the Olympic Games, the World Championship and the European Championship.
He quickly climbed the ladder with a string of knockout victories, and in June 2024 he claimed the first title of his career as he out-pointed Ewontse Ezra Arenyeka over 10 rounds to claim the IBF international title.
His first defence ended in disappointment as an injury resulted in a technical draw with Liam Cameron, but when the two men fought again he won by second-round knockout, and in November of last year he backed that up with a 135-second stoppage of Benjamin Gavazi.
Whittaker will now look to make it three wins in a row at the expense of Argentinian veteran Suarez, who is fighting in the United Kingdom for the first time since his knockout loss to Lyndon Arthur back in September 2023.
