Tyson Fury makes his return to the boxing ring on April 11, and the bookmakers expect the former world heavyweight champion to enjoy a winning comeback fight.
Fury retired from boxing following back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024, but it did not take long for the ‘Gypsy King’ to start hinting at a u-turn on social media and in interviews.
The 37-year-old has now confirmed he is returning to the boxing ring in 2026, and he will do it on home soil as he prepares for fight in the United Kingdom for the first time since December 2022.
“Excited to be back,” said Fury. “Heart's always been and always will be in boxing. Someone go tell the king that the ace is back!”
While the venue has not been confirmed, Fury will face Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11, with the bout being broadcast live on Netflix.
Unsurprisingly, the bookmakers are predicting a successful return to the ring for the Englishman.
bet365 has priced Fury as a 1/6 favourite for the contest, with Makhmudov considered a 4/1 underdog as he looks to pull off one of the biggest upsets in recent boxing history.
The 36-year-old Russian has won each of his last two fights, including a decision win over David Allen in Sheffield last year, but he does have a couple of knockout defeats against less opposition on his record.
“I am thrilled about the opportunity,” said Makhmudov. “I'm coming to deliver a war. Tyson Fury has been a big champion. I will be more ready than ever to leave with a massive W."
