BBL Esports vs Eternal Fire Betting Predictions

BBL Esports and Eternal Fire will cross swords on Wednesday, April 8, in the second week of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 EMEA Stage 1 in what should be a one-sided game.

BBL Esports entered Stage 1 as one of the league’s top contenders, having proven themselves as EMEA’s top team in the Kickoff event. However, their start to the stage has been underwhelming, suggesting they are not as invincible as BBL may have appeared.

The big question here is whether Eternal Fire can do any serious damage to BBL, who despite not looking 100% are still a superior team.

  • BBL Esports are the defending champions
  • Eternal Fire are among the weaker teams in the league
  • BBL Esports look shaky and have seemed fatigued early into Stage 1

BBL Esports Are Expected To Have a Strong Stage

BBL Esports were crowned as VCT EMEA Kickoff champions, but they were unable to make much noise at Masters Santiago, where they crashed out in fifth-sixth place.

Since then, BBL have played just one game, in Week 1 of VCT EMEA Stage 1 and won 2-0 against PCIFIC Esports. However, it was not a very convincing display, suggesting that fatigue might be playing a factor, as BBL haven’t had a proper break since the Kickoff event.

With time, BBL will find more momentum, and with the talent on this roster, it is hard to doubt them. On the other side, they do not look to be 100%.

Eternal Fire Are Showing Promise

Eternal Fire are among the weaker teams in the league, as a second-division team who took over the VCT EMEA spot from ULF Esports.

The lack of experience plays a factor in the reason why EF are not expected to do well, but they’ve somewhat proven the doubters wrong in the first week of play.

In the opening week of VCT EMEA Stage 1, Eternal Fire lost to Fnatic, but still showed a lot of fight.

Eternal Fire forced Fnatic into overtime on Breeze (12-14) and won Bind (17-15), before collapsing on Lotus (2-13). Despite the rough ending to the game, Eternal Fire played much better than expected against one of the region’s top teams, which is promising.

Eternal Fire Squad & Team News

No roster changes for Eternal Fire.

  • Baran "Izzy" Yılmaz
  • Soner "audaz" Ekiz
  • Ömür Serkan "echo" Şenol
  • Enes "Favian" Yiğiter

Verdict

Eternal Fire are expected to struggle against BBL Esports. This, on paper, makes sense, as BBL are defending VCT EMEA champions. However, looking at Stage 1 Week 1 results, Eternal Fire looked much more convincing.

While BBL somewhat struggled against PCIFIC Esports, Eternal Fire nearly defeated Fnatic, which is seriously impressive. While it might’ve been a flash in the pan, EF have looked much more convincing and deserve some respect.
