BNK FEARX enter this match as favourites, having looked strong so far in the tournament. They’ve handled Team Vitality and LGD Gaming, but struggled a bit too much in the latter game. That match also showed that FEARX will not be a threat to teams who are strong in the early game.
This should give JD Gaming a clear blueprint of how to approach this series, relying more on early game to gain a sizeable lead on BNK FEARX. And even if that fails, BNK FEARX are rarely to be trusted to close games out, as they’ve been very sloppy and very prone to shooting themselves in the foot.
- BNK FEARX have looked better this tournament
- JD Gaming are a bit of an enigma with a changed roster
- BNK FEARX are stronger, but also very sloppy

BNK FEARX Are Prone to Slipping
BNK FEARX cruised through the Swiss Stage, beating Team Vitality (1-0) and LGD Gaming (2-1), thus living up to the name as one of the tournament’s main title contenders.
LGD Gaming did cause them issues, so it is fair to assume that JD Gaming can present BNK FEARX with a unique challenge as well. However, LGD should be a bigger stylistic threat for BNK FEARX than JD Gaming, who have become known as a more scaling team.
As shown, BNK FEARX are a solid team, but they can struggle early and will struggle against teams who can attack them in the early game. FEARX have their strengths, but also some notable weaknesses, which mainly include their tendency to make macro errors with questionable decision-making.
More times than not, BNK FEARX beat themselves.

JD Gaming Have Been Underwhelming
JD Gaming have long been known as a slow, scaling team. This approach hasn’t resulted in any notable accomplishments, though.
However, with the changed roster, JD Gaming have stepped away from that identity and have been showing more in the early game.
This is still a very small sample size of games, as JDG have played only HAJIN BRION (0-1), Shopify Rebellion (2-0), LGD Gaming (0-2), and Natus Vincere, whom they beat 2-1 in the fourth round.
This new-look roster is still an enigma, but they've shown some early-game pulse and still have the same core that typically does well in the late game. Results-wise, however, JD Gaming have been underwhelming.

Verdict
BNK FEARX are the better team of the two. They have their full roster available and have gone 2-0 in the Swiss Stage. That said, FEARX are also a very volatile team, who will make errors and, more often than not, beat themselves.
As much as JD Gaming have looked underwhelming this tournament and are a bit of an enigma with two new players, FEARX are not to be trusted to deliver.
