KT Rolster enter the match as favourites, which makes a lot of sense, as they hail from a stronger league, the LoL Championship Korea. They’ve even had their moments of brilliance in LCK this split, beating some of the world’s best teams.
However, while KT Rolster can have their high moments, they’re also very inconsistent and can just as easily turn into a pumpkin. So while on a good day, KT are easily the best team of the tournament, they tend not to always have good days, and are too vulnerable to be considered the clear favourites for any match.
Team Vitality are not perfect, but this is a good team who will punish mistakes. And you can be sure KT Rolster will offer them many opportunities to do just that.
- KT Rolster are the strongest team of the tournament
- Team Vitality need to be respected
- KT are too volatile to be trusted to deliver

KT Rolster Are Unpredictable
KT Rolster entered the Demacia Cup Global Invitational as the best team in the field, having looked good in the LCK Summer. Granted, only at times.
KT Rolster have become known as a very volatile team, who can look great on one day and turn into a pumpkin the next. So they are never to be fully trusted to deliver when faced with a capable team.
At DCGI, KT Rolster have yet to disappoint, having beaten Shopify Rebellion and RED Canids in the Swiss Stage.
While KT Rolster haven’t dropped a map across the two games, they’ve also had the softest schedule out of any team, so their group stage run can be taken with a grain of salt.

Team Vitality Are Strong
Team Vitality fought their way through the Demacia Cup Global Invitational Swiss Stage with wins against GAM Esports and RED Canids, after losing to BNK FEARX in the first round.
Much like KT Rolster, Team Vitality did not have to beat any good teams en route to the playoffs, so they remain relatively unproven.
But looking back at the summer split, Team Vitality have been posting some promising results, and they’ve had their moments in LoL EMEA Championship before the unfortunate collapse in the playoffs.
While not among the world’s elite teams, Team Vitality are a good squad who can challenge anyone.

Verdict
KT Rolster are expected to dominate and considering they are objectively the best team of the tournament, that makes sense. On the other hand, KT Rolster are also very volatile and unpredictable, so it is fair to question whether they truly deserve to be listed as 1.08 favourites.
Team Vitality are a good team and too good to be viewed as such massive underdogs, especially against a team who are anything but reliable. The European squad should be good for at least one map.
