Movistar KOI Are in Hot Form
Movistar KOI haven’t had the best run through the regular season, having struggled to find any serious traction. However, KOI have looked like an entirely different beast in the playoffs, beating Team Vitality, Natus Vincere, and Karmine Corp, and looking better with each passing game.
The victory against Karmine Corp, in particular, was impressive, as it indicates that KOI have the tools to handle LEC’s elite teams. And considering how dominant KOI were on some of the maps, there is no doubt that they should be able to put on a show this Sunday.
Jungler Elyoya, in particular, was a monster in that series, doing his part in Movistar KOI producing the most dominant series we’ve seen from them this season. And they did it against a team who are, on paper, better than G2 Esports -despite KC’s tendency to choke when faced with G2.

There is not much to say about G2 Esports that isn’t already known.
They have had another iffy run through the regular season, but turned it up a notch in the playoffs, and are yet again in the finals.
While they looked like the second-best team in the league (behind KC), G2 Esports defeated Karmine Corp in the upper bracket finals, as they usually do – having now proven they are KC’s kryptonite.
A good team, who can win the league, like the have many times before. But G2 Esports are not invincible, especially in their current state – having been away from action since September 6. On one side, that gives G2 plenty of time to prepare for KOI, but some rust will be present.
