Gen.G vs Kiwoom DRX Betting Tips – Kiwoom DRX with a Tough Task at Hand in LCK Rounds 1-2
Gen.G takes on Kiwoom DRX in the fifth week of LCK 2026 Rounds 1-2. Although Gen.G hasn't been flawless this split, their strong roster and recent wins position them as heavy favorites. DRX, on the other hand, has lost their edge—especially in macro play—and show little sign of improvement. With Gen.G’s talent advantage and DRX’s current struggles, the matchup is expected to end in a decisive 2-0 for Gen.G unless they falter unexpectedly. Fans can catch the action live via LCK streams or top betting sites.

Gen.G won the last outing in January 2-0, and despite showing more cracks this split, Gen.G are expected to be just as dominant, entering the game as heavy favourites.
This makes a lot of sense, mainly because Kiwoom DRX have looked very bad over the last few weeks. They were known as a great macro team in the LCK Cup, but have since lost that identity.
And with a lack of individual talent – relative to the rest of the league – KRX do not have many things going for them and many tools to deal with an elite squad like Gen.G.
- KRX’s macro has gotten worse
- Gen.G are slowly finding momentum
- This is Gen.G’s game to lose

Gen.G Look Shakier Than Expected
Gen.G had a very rough start to LCK Rounds 1-2, but have slowly been picking themselves up, with three victories from their last four outings.
That includes wins against HAJIN BRION (2-0), DN SOOPers (2-0), and Nongshim RedForce (2-0). It is worth noting, however, that two wins came against weaker opponents, and the latter was not as one-sided as the final score might suggest. The first map was competitive, granted the second was a one-sided stomp from Gen.G.
Gen.G’s main issue this split has been transitioning leads into wins. This is not very characteristic of them and the exact opposite of what Gen.G have been known for – good macro and excellent execution.
Given the talent on this roster, it is fair to expect Gen.G to fully bounce back at some point. However, they are not quite there yet.

Kiwoom DRX Struggle Against Elite Teams
Kiwwom DRX have been struggling to find much success in LCK Rounds 1-2. They are 2-6 after four weeks in, and are highly unlikely to claw their way into the top six by the end of the regular season.
In the LCK Cup, KRX showed some good things. They were not great individually and lacked a strong early game. However, they had great macro and were one of the better mid-game teams.
In LCK Rounds 1-2, KRX seem to have forgotten how to approach the late game, and lost their only strength, turning KRX from potent outsiders with great macro, into one of the weaker teams in the league.

Verdict
Gen.G have been far from perfect this split and have many wrinkles that need to be ironed out. Mainly, they struggle closing out games and are not efficient with leads.
However, individually, this is still one of the most stacked rosters in the world, and that goes a long way in games like this.
Kiwoom DRX have not been amazing this split, and even that is being generous. They’ve not shown anything exceptional and do not seem to have any strong points.
This is Gen.G’s game to lose, and barring situations where Gen.G shoot themselves in the foot, we can expect a swift 2-0.
