Global Esports With a Rough Start
Global Esports have been having a decent season so far, but nothing outstanding. They placed third in VCT Pacific Stage 1 and have had their moments at VALORANT Masters London, where Global Esports defeated FULL SENSE and played two close games against XLG Esports and Leviatan.

AG.AL Can Do Damage
AG.AL started their Esports World Cup campaign with a 1-2 defeat against Team Heretics. Admittedly, Heretics are not in the best shape and hardly one of the main title contenders; however, seeing AG.AL playing a competitive game against one of VCT EMEA’s top teams is promising.
Despite the loss, AG.AL have had their chances. They nearly picked up Haven (11-13), then won Ascent (13-8), and lost Lotus 7-13, after a very strong 7-5 start on the attacking side.
Overall, a promising display from the Chinese outfit, who have been showing some signs of life this split, granted mainly against regional opponents.

Verdict
Global Esports are billed as firm favourites to take down AG.AL. This makes some sense, as Global Esports have found more success this season and hail from a stronger region.
However, for now, they are in an iffy spot, and their tough loss to MIBR can indicate that GE either do not care as much about the EWC or they might be fatigued from having to deal with a very packed schedule.
