Natus Vincere enter the fourth week of VCT EMEA Stage 1 with a 1-2 record. They won their first match of the stage against Team Heretics, but have since lost to FUT Esports (1-2) and last week, against Gentle Mates.
The latter match ended in a 0-2 sweep. Natus Vincere managed to take 10 rounds on Pearl (10-13), but were less successful on Lotus and lost 8-13. It was another tough showing from NaVi, who continue to play with ComeBack as a stand-in, while ExiT is sorting out his visa.
This situation is sub-optimal, and it shows in NaVi’s poor results. But it does not seem like it’s going to change anytime soon.

Team Liquid have enjoyed a very promising start to the stage. They swept Karmine Corp (2-0) and looked just as good in their victory against Team Heretics (2-0), but could not keep their wheels going and lost to FUT Esports (0-2) last week.
Liquid lost Breeze 9-13, and while they forced overtime against Haven, they could not close it out and lost 13-15.
Despite the loss, Team Liquid did not play poorly. Purp0, in particular, played well, with a 1.24 rating; however, FUT were simply the better team on the day and deserved what is considered a major upset victory.
With that loss, Team Liquid are still in a solid spot; however, some may argue that they’re not properly tested yet, having beaten only KC and Team Heretics.
