NRG Look Unstoppable
NRG have been nothing short of phenomenal this tournament, showing the same form which led them to the VALORANT Champions title last season.
They crushed Group D, with wins against Nongshim RedForce and Karmine Corp, before humiliating T1 in the upper bracket quarterfinals.
Over the three games played, NRG have proven that they have a firm grasp of the current meta and so far, no other team have shown as strong a macro play as NRG. All that comes as no surprise, as NRG have been the most consistent team of the

LOUD Continue to Roll
LOUD have entered VALORANT Champions 2026 as dangerous outsiders and a team who have proven more than capable of punching up. They have kept that tag during the group stage, where LOUD disposed of EDward Gaming and Global Esports with ease, while putting up a respectable fight against Team Vitality.
As icing on the cake, LOUD stepped up in the first round of the playoffs and swept Paper Rex with 13-9 on Split and 15-13 on Sunset, proving both that they have the individual talent to match any team at the tournament and a deep enough map pool to be a consistent danger.
Having shown very few cracks, LOUD are a team to watch out for, and as long as Lukxo can keep playing the way he has, LOUD will be in a fine spot to challenge anyone. Besides their star player, LOUD have also been getting a lot out of erde, who has averaged a 1-17 performance rating.

Verdict
NRG and LOUD have both shown excellent form this tournament. LOUD have retained their tag as very dangerous underdogs who can punch up, while NRG shifted into a higher gear following a fairly successful season.
Showing a strong understanding of the current meta and with strong macro, NRG are one of the most stable teams in the tournament. They also boast a very deep map pool, namely on Haven, Lotus, and Summit.
This gives them an edge over LOUD, however, the Brazilian team, with their firepower, are not to be overlooked. LOUD also have proven to be excellent on Sunset, Summit, and Lotus, so they have the tools to challenge NRG.
Last time these two teams clashed, LOUD edged out a 3-2 win. NRG look stronger this time out and are rightly viewed as favourites. Still, LOUD have the tools to keep it close and force another competitive affair.
