The two teams have managed a similar record this split, with Sentinels producing four wins from seven games and FlyQuest three.
Notably, though, Sentinels have done roughly as well as they were expected, while FlyQuest severely underperformed, having shown serious cracks in their gameplay, which they likely haven’t fixed yet.
Given FlyQuest’s performances in the summer split, they are hard to trust to deliver on Sunday, making Sentinels a more appealing pick to come out ahead and advance deeper into the playoffs.
- FlyQuest have been struggling a lot
- Sentinels have looked solid
- This looks like Sentinels’ game to lose

Sentinels Look Stable
Sentinels ended the regular season with a 3-1 run, having beaten LYON, FlyQuest, and Disguised, before dropping against Cloud9 in the final week of play.
For the most part of the season, Sentinels have been playing well. They’ve handled all weaker teams – except for the one slip-up against Shopify Rebellion in Week 3 – and have even taken one big scalp against LYON.
Their last match against Cloud9 was a slight disappointment, as Sentinels looked about as good as Cloud9 for most of the split. Nevertheless, even that defeat does not take away from the fact that Sentinels are a solid mid-table team, and in many ways LCS’s gatekeepers.

| September 5 | LCS 2026 Summer | Cloud9 | 0-2 (L) |
| August 23 | LCS 2026 Summer | Disguised | 2-0 (W) |

FlyQuest Are Struggling
FlyQuest have struggled a lot this split, losing four out of seven games played. They have found some traction towards the end of the regular season, beating Dignitas and Shopify Rebellion.
This would indicate some improvement, but there’s no denying that FlyQuest don’t look nearly as potent as they did earlier in the season, having gone from being a competitive mid-table team to one of LCS’s bottom feeders.
Given how poorly FlyQuest have been playing, it is hard to say where they belong.
They managed to defeat SR in their last outing, but FlyQuest hardly looked any better than they did for most of the split. They managed to find leads, but also threw away winning positions, so nothing seems to have changed.
It was still one of their best games of LCS Summer, so maybe FlyQuest have turned the corner. But I would stay cautious about trusting this team too much.

| August 16 | LCS 2026 Summer | Cloud9 | 0-2 (L) |

Verdict
FlyQuest are fresh off one of their best games of the split, having beaten Shopify Rebellion 2-0 in the final week of the regular season. But while that win has indicated some improvement, I would stay cautiously optimistic about FlyQuest, who’ve looked terrible for most of the split.
Sentinels are not among the main title contenders to win LCS, but they’ve been stable and a team you can trust to deliver day-after-day.

Qualitatively, Sentinels are on about the same level as FlyQuest, but the eye test makes them the more trustworthy team for this affair.
