Team Heretics were one of VCT EMEA’s top teams early in the season. They even won Stage 1, but things have been grim ever since, as Heretics failed to live up to expectations during Stage 2.
With a 3-2 record, they placed third in Group Omega and then slipped against Fire Flux Exports in their first match of the play-ins. Heretics lost that game with a reverse sweep, winning Summit 13-9, but then losing on Sunset (2-13) and Ascent (9-13).

Natus Vincere had a promising start to VCT EMEA Stage 2, but have since looked anything but good. They placed fifth in Group Alpha, with a 2-3 record, and hardly improved that impression in the play-ins, losing to Joblife 1-2.
NaVi lost the match with 8-13 on Breeze, 13-7 on Split, and 13-15 on Ascent. While they showed some fight, it is not like Natus Vincere had a tough opponent, so even though they won a map and forced overtime on the decider, that’s hardly something to write home about.
