Last month, Team Nemesis made quite some noise by reaching the playoffs of PGL Wallachia Season 9, despite fielding two stand-ins. And so far, at BLAST SLAM VIII, they’ve shown some good things.
In the first round of Group B, Team Nemesis lost to the reigning The International champions, Team Spirit. But they still left their mark by winning the first map of the series.
Even more impressive was their performance against Natus Vincere in the Group B Losers Match, which Team Nemesis won 2-1. That win alone, beating NaVi, is a very positive sign and a good indication that Nemesis are indeed the real deal.

1w Team are a hard team to follow, purely because they tend to be very inconsistent.
They made some noise of late with a third-place finish at 1win Essence II, and seventh-eighth place finishes at The International and PGL Wallachia Season 9. However, over that stretch, 1w have produced a mixed bag of results.
At BLAST SLAM VII, 1w started well, beating Natus Vincere 2-1. But they proved far less successful against Team Spirit, who defeated 1w 2-0 in the second round of group play.
Looking back at some of 1w’s games, they seem to lack a clear plan most of the time, prone to throwing fights and stumbling in the late game.
