Team Spirit qualified for the IEM Cologne Major as a Stage 2 invite; however, that has so far posed little challenge for the Russian squad.
Over the first two games of Stage 2, Spirit have dismantled BetBoom Team 13-5, and last round added a huge 13-1 victory against MIBR. 9z Team have been holding on very well in Stage 2 of the IEM Cologne Major. They have relied on HUASOPEEK and meyern, who are the second and fourth-highest rated players of the stage at 1.52 and 1.38 performance ratings, respectively - but the whole team have been performing admirably well.
Over the first two rounds of Stage 2, 9z Team have beaten FlyQuest (13-9) and Astralis (13-5). Even though those are not the same quality of teams that 9z will face on Sunday, they showed promise and should be viewed as strong contenders to reach Stage 3.
