Team Vitality Are in Good Shape
Team Vitality enter the upper bracket semifinals in good form. They completed their run through the Swiss Stage with wins against Dragon Ranger Gaming (2-0) and FUT Esports (2-1), and in the first round of the playoffs, they delivered with a 2-0 sweep of VCT EMEA champions, Team Heretics.
With those results, Team Vitality have emerged as the best-performing team from VCT EMEA, and have proven that they are comfortable in the current meta.
Derke, in particular, has been playing well and is the fifth-highest rated player of the tournament at 1.24. He stood out in Vitality’s sweep of Heretics with 1.57, while PROFEK and Chronicle also stepped up with 1.21 and 1.16, respectively.
So far this tournament, Team Vitality have looked much better than expected, especially after their iffy run in the VCT EMEA Stage 1 Playoffs.

Paper Rex Got Off to a Solid Start
Paper Rex are one of the main names that is brought up when talking about potential Masters London champions. They’ve so far not shown anything to suggest otherwise, granted PR have played just one game – beating Leviatan 2-0 in the opening round of the playoffs.
It was a good showing, but an expected result, and it is more than fair to say that Vitality should present a tougher challenge for the VCT Pacific champions.
Known as a more chaotic team, Paper Rex can be difficult to handle for squads who do not have a clear style of play and those who can’t adapt quickly. Unfortunately for Paper Rex, Vitality appear as exactly that – a team that can handle more chaotic opponents.
| Date | Event | Opponent | Result |

| June 12 | VALORANT Masters London 2026 | Leviatan | 2-0 (W) |
| May 17 | VCT 2026 Pacific Stage 1 | FULL SENSE | 3-0 (W) |
| May 16 | VCT 2026 Pacific Stage 1 | Global Esports | 3-0 (W) |
| May 15 | VCT 2026 Pacific Stage 1 | T1 | 2-1 (W) |
| May 10 | VCT 2026 Pacific Stage 1 | DRX | 2-1 (W) |

Verdict
Paper Rex are expected to win, having looked more potent this season. But stylistically, Team Vitality look like they are in a better position.
Vitality is a fundamentally strong team, with great structure, flexibility, and solid comms. All that can help them greatly against a team like Paper Rex, who prefer to play tempo and tend to be more chaotic.
Even individually, it is fair to say that Vitality have the players to challenge PR, so there is little to suggest Vitality can’t come out ahead.
