Team WE have been anything but exciting this split. They started LPL 2026 Split 3 exceptionally well, winning five games from the first seven. However, it’s been downhill since, with a 2-5 record in the final three weeks of play, struggling to keep up with LPL’s best and even some mid-table teams.
Things took a turn for the better in the first round of the playoffs, or at least so it seems. WE started the knockout stage with a 3-1 victory against JD Gaming, which, on paper, would suggest they have the tools to deal with China’s elite rosters. However, JDG played poorly that day, making it easy for WE to look good.
While beating JD Gaming is a promising sign, it is fair to question how Team WE would look had JD Gaming played as well as they did during the regular season. All things considered, Team WE have a lot more to prove.
